Dr. Mahajan is the owner
of G-NOL,Inc. and serves as the President of the company. Professionally,
Dr. Mahajan holds one of the five joint appointments between Brookhaven
National Laboratory (BNL), a United States Department of Energy Laboratory
and Stony Brook University (SBU): at BNL, as a Group Leader in the Energy
Sciences & Technology Department and at SBU, as a Professor and Co-Director
of Chemical and Molecular Engineering. His research interests focus on
Energy Issues that includes a portfolio of projects on Methane hydrates,
Hydrogen production, Fuel cells, Fischer-Tropsch, Methanol, Mixed alcohol
synthesis and Fuel desulfurization using soluble (single-site) or slurried (nano
heterogeneous or colloidal phase) based catalysts. He is the author of over
80 publications including book chapters and encyclopedia articles, 12
patents, and presented over 120 invited lectures at various universities,
companies, conferences around the globe. His work is constantly covered
through several press releases, serves on several national and international
energy-related committees and consultant to several companies. His work in
synthesis of clean fuels is internationally recognized and some of his
